First Magnitude Brewing, 1220 SE Veitch St, Gainesville, FL 32601

Free entry · Tastings from $5

Pull up a chair. Local nonprofits are cooking their best slow-cooker recipes, and you get to taste them all and pick the winners. Every spoonful supports local nonprofits right here in Gainesville.

A Leadership Gainesville Class 52 project, presented by Leadership Gainesville Community Builders, Inc.

How it works

  • Walk in free. Admission costs nothing, so come explore the tables.
  • Pick a tasting package. $5, $10 or $15, or $25 to taste everything. Every paid tasting helps a local nonprofit, and packages of $10 or more come with a wristband for discounted First Magnitude drinks.
  • Taste and vote. Each tasting package comes with 3 votes for your favorite recipes.
  • Give directly. Every team will have its own way to donate at its table, and that money goes straight to the nonprofit.

Why we’re cooking

This year’s Crock Off is all about children, youth and education. About 20 local nonprofits that serve kids and students will compete, and we’ll add teams as they confirm.

Each team is paired with a business sponsor whose $1,000 sponsorship covers the team’s setup and ingredients, so it costs the nonprofit nothing to take part. On top of that, LGCB gives every team a guaranteed minimum of $500 more on event day. We hope it’ll be a lot more, and that depends on how many of you come out.

Meet the Teams

Seventeen local nonprofits have confirmed so far, and we expect about 20. Meet them, with a bit about the work each one does in our community. We’ll add teams and sponsors as they confirm.

First Magnitude Brewing Company

The Crock Off wouldn’t be possible without First Magnitude Brewing Company, who generously donated their space to host us. Grab a drink at the event, or stop by anytime, and raise a glass to a great local partner.

Help make it happen

Sponsors cover the cost of the day so more of what we raise goes to the nonprofits. If your business wants to be part of it, we’d love to talk.
