Strengthening Greater Gainesville Through Leadership

Born from the service-minded spirit of Leadership Gainesville Class 52, LGCB was created to give our class projects—and initiatives from future cohorts—a lasting home. We bring alumni, nonprofits, businesses, and neighbors together to turn a shared heart for Greater Gainesville into action.

It Started with The Crock Off

Leadership Gainesville Class 52 dreamed up The Crock Off as a big class project to bring our community together and support local nonprofits. To make the event possible, we needed a nonprofit home for the project—and Leadership Gainesville Community Builders was born. What began with one class and one event is becoming a lasting home for initiatives from future Leadership Gainesville cohorts, too.

One Event. A Community of Causes.

Each year, The Crock Off will spotlight nonprofits serving a different area of community need. Our 2026 focus is Children, Youth & Education. Future possibilities include Basic Needs & Crisis Support; Health, Mental Health & Aging; Community Enrichment & Culture; and Environment, Animals & Conservation.
